Riponne-Tunnel
urbz is carrying a 18 month long participatory process to redefine the two largest public squares in Lausanne.
Riponne-Tunnel
Dates : September 2018 - Décember 2020
urbz organised a participatory process for the redevelopment of Place de la Riponne and Place du Tunnel, the largest public spaces in the city center of Vaud. This process provided input for the specifications of an international ideas competition. It also helped to mobilise local stakeholders around concrete projects aimed at improving the urban planning of the area and discussing participatory governance for the sector. As part of this process, we have already conducted more than 50 interviews, organised a major three-day workshop and participatory forum with more than 400 participants, created an interactive website for the process, set up a citizens' jury and a monitoring group, and led a major public debate on the projects resulting from the ideas competition.
