urbz travaille sur un plan global pour le siège du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge (CICR) à Genève. Environ 1200 personnes travaillent à Genève et 20 000 autres travaillent dans plus de 100 zones de conflit dans le monde.

urbz is working on a comprehensive plan for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) HQ in Geneva. About 1200 people work in Geneva and another 20,000 work in over 100 conflict zones around the world.

urbz a été sélectionné sur la base d’un appel d’offre international pour accompagner le CICR et le Musée de la Croix Rouge et du Croissant Rouge dans le réaménagement de la Colline de Pregny. Le CICR emploie près de 20’000 personnes dans le monde et environ 1500 à Genève, son siège principal, son centre opérationnel et le cœur symbolique de l’organisation qui surplombe celui des Nations-Unies. Le CICR fait face à de nouveaux défis, notamment la transformation des bureaux en espaces flexibles, l’intégration de systèmes hybrides pour le travail à distance, la construction d’un mémorial et le réaménagement du musée.

Dans le cadre de ce mandat, urbz a interviewé un grand nombre de collaborateurs du CICR, organisé un workshop hybride d’une journée avec la présidence et la direction de l’organisation. Nous avons aussi facilité des focus groupe et rédigé une vision et un programme pour le réaménagement du site.

urbz a également mis en place une démarche participative à l'échelle de l’organisation. La démarche a fait émerger une vision partagée et un programme pour le réaménagement du site. Une exposition interactive in situ nous a permis pendant un mois de valider cette vision. Suite à cela, l'équipe urbz a traduit la vision et le programme en image directrice et co-piloté avec le CICR une équipe de projet composée de paysagistes, d’ingénieurs mobilité et ingénieurs civils.

urbz was selected on the basis of an international call to support the ICRC and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in the redevelopment of Pregny Hill. The ICRC employs nearly 20,000 people worldwide, including around 1,500 in Geneva, its headquarters, operational centre and symbolic heart of the organisation, overlooking the United Nations. The ICRC is facing new challenges, including the transformation of offices into flexible spaces, the integration of hybrid systems for remote working, the construction of a memorial and the redevelopment of the museum.

As part of this mandate, urbz interviewed a large number of ICRC staff and organised a one-day hybrid workshop with the organisation's presidency and management. We also facilitated focus groups and drafted a vision and programme for the redevelopment of the site.

urbz also implemented an organisation-wide participative approach. The process led to the emergence of a shared vision and a programme for the redevelopment of the site. A month-long interactive exhibition in situ enabled us to validate this vision. Following this, the urbz team translated the vision and programme into a guiding image and co-piloted a project team with the ICRC, comprising landscape architects, mobility engineers and civil engineers.
