Delta V is a participatory urban planning project taking place in the municipality of Versoix, which is part of the state of Geneva in Switzerland. urbz was commission by the Mayor of Versoix and the Office of urbanism of the State of Geneva to plan a mixed-use neighbourhood in the heart of Versoix.
urbz proposed a radically participative approach, that associates local residents and invites creative minds from all over the world to imagine an ideal scenario for this new neighbourhood. The project, which started in September 2017, is still ongoing.
In the first 6 months, the urbz team worked from a house located on the site itself, which was open to visitors and exhibited the work in process. It also organized a series of workshops, presentations and interactive exhibition in situ, to which it associated top professionals and institutions such as Professor Yehuda Safran who teaches at Pratt Institute in New York, the collective “Something Fantastic” from Berlin, urbz collaborators from Mumbai, Seoul and Montreal, as well as students from the Masters of Advance Studies in Urban Design chaired by Marc Angelil at ETH Zurich, and masters students from the Joint Masters in Architecture at HEPIA, Geneva.
