Mara is trained as architect with a sensitive approach on social urban dynamics; she has developed her knowledge on alternative architecture and urban design tools within the KU Leuven international master of Urban Projects - Urban Cultures, and explored many urban contexts by travelling and following research projects.

Both independently and through co-created initiatives she’s currently investigating fields as alternative territorial development, alternative governance models and the role of art and architecture within the fields of education and activism.

She enjoys much to put her hands into small construction projects, for which she becomes very sensitive towards details.
