Born in Bahia - Poções, in 1960. He came to Paraisopolis in 1975, when in the “favela” there lived a mere 8 people and there was only one main road. He began working as a mason / builder in 1976 and today his work has a portfolio of more than 100 houses built within the town of Paraisopolis and many other outside it.

He has been a leading figure within the urbz Brasil Project from its inception in Brazil when he was introduced to Matias Echanove and Rahul Srivastava, founders of the project in India - Mumbai - Dharavi.
